Do you ever have days where your body just tells you to STOP?
That was my day yesterday. I was totally overwhelmed, exhausted beyond belief and just felt like I had no end in sight.
I felt like I was failing at every aspect of my life: mom, wife, cleaner, shaklee distributor, student…..it all just came tumbling on top of me and I felt trapped. I vented to a few friends & one of our team leaders totally put it into to perspective for me. This is what she said:
“It’s a normal part of life–my friends who don’t run a business at home feel that way. I find I often feel that way when I’m trying to manage it all in my own strength. Give it to God. Ask for wisdom in what’s important and what isn’t. Ask for peace for what doesn’t get done. Plan your days but give each one to God and ask for peace when it doesn’t go as planned. Proverbs 31 is a great encouragement. But you can’t do it all. Neither can I. But in His strength we can accomplish all He has for our days and our years.“
I left the computer and read my Bible. I needed perspective and she lead me to where I needed to go. Why is it that advice is so easily given but when we are experiencing a struggle, sometimes we look to the place we most need last?
Today was a new day.
I woke up tired, but with a new outlook. I downloaded some new worship music along with the new Taylor Swift song. Man that thing is catchy and totally cute. Today is filled with a Shaklee FB event, dancing parties with my girls, setting up monthly/weekly/daily goals to keep me focused and not overwhelmed.
How do you organize your life?
