Many people ask me “How I do it all?” And the answer to that is – I Don’t! Seriously though. I pick and choose what is important to me on a daily basis. It usually goes like this:
Wake up – yes
Get dressed – mostly
Feed kids – we’ll see if they ask me for food
Vacuum the floor – can I see dog hair?
ha ha ha
But in all seriousness, I think because we have been from family and don’t have that “support” I’ve just learned to make do. There are days my floors go un-mopped for weeks. I know. Totally gross but totally honest. Seriously though, just this weekend the girls were climbing up the stairs and the bottoms of their feet were totally dark grey and I thought to myself, “Oh dang! That’s disgusting! When was the last time I even mopped the floors?!” True Story. You best believed I went and mopped those floors right after I put them down for their nap!
After I started my Shaklee business I had so many people think I had fallen off the deep end – adding somethign else to my plate – yeah, just what she needs. But the thing is, I totally DO need it! Having this business gives me a sense of “me”, not just being a Mom & Wife. Know what I mean? And yes, this job takes time out of my day when I am already limited in what I can do in the 16hrs I do have, but I make it work.
Here’s just a little idea of what my life is like on a daily basis….
This was made over the summer when I had the kids home with me. THAT my friends was a huge challenge for me after being used to Cohen being in school full time and Lucas being in school 3 full days a week. It was hard the first week but then we got in a routine and all was well.
We are now back in the routine of school, Cohen is in full time and Lucas is in just 2hrs in the morning (which is totally a pain the butt since I have to walk up 3 times a day, but it’s fresh air and some exercise so I’ll take it) but he starts full time tomorrow and I – AM – PUMPED! The girls and I will be going to MOPS & Bible studies on Tuesday mornings and then we’ll have play dates at least once or twice a week after that. I’m hoping to do some more online consulting with people who want to change their health, so we’ll see how it goes.
