This is a product review. I was given the Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil by Tropical Traditions to review if I wished to on my blog. I was not compensate with any money, only the product. I was not held liable to review the product on my blog, I chose to review it based off of my personal desire to do so. The opinions stated are mine only.
Many of you know that I’m a big fan of coconut oil. Not only do I love using it in place of lotion, but I have recently found a love of cooking with it! Coconut oil is SOOOO good for you! Here are two great resources:
Anyway, buying coconut oil at our local commissary can be quite pricey, especially with how much we go through 1 jar of it, so I looked in to the online store, Tropical Traditions. One of my best friends had been ordering from them and told me all about them. (plus they have delicious popcorn too!) I had placed an order for some of their expeller-pressed coconut oil so I could use more of it in my cooking without my family being weird about the taste. (expeller-pressed doesn’t taste/smell like coconut) After placing my order I was browsing their site some more and noticed that they work with many bloggers. I immediately emailed them asking if I could work with them.
If you order by clicking on the image above and have never ordered
from Tropical Traditions in the past, you will receive a free book
on Virgin Coconut Oil and I will receive a discount coupon for referring you.
They promptly replied and mailed off the Gold Label Virgin Coconut oil to me!! I was super duper excited! Not only did they mail ME some of the coconut oil, they also informed me that they would give one away to one of you!
Now, their site is WAY more than just coconut oil. They have everything you’d want from essential oils to grass-fed beef to home care products to pet products. They really do have some pretty great looking items.
Anyway, since getting my oil, I have actually almost used all of it so I had to place another order. Thankfully they were running a special where I got a buy 1 get 1 free! Aaah, heaven!
Aside from using the oil as lotion I actually found that one of my favorite things to use with it is in my breakfast. Lately I’ve been putting just a little bit of the oil in a pan, whisking up some free range eggs and scrambling them up with a little bit of onion flakes, sea salt & black pepper. It may sound strange, but the combination just works! Combine those eggs with some natural sausage links and you’re in breakfast heaven! (all of my kids gobble it up!)
That’s my take on it. Here is what their website has to say about their coconut oil:
