Another month down and I have only lost 1 pound.
To say that I was frustrated doesn’t even begin to describe it. I even debated going to get my hormone & thyroid tested. I ended up canceling the appointment and giving myself another month to see if I had more progress. And after taking my photos today I can see progress visually, just not on the scale. The one thing I changed from the last few months is having Shaklee shakes for breakfast every morning. My sweet friend from college, Katie, sells it and asked if I would do a review of the Shaklee 180™ shakes for my blog. I was so excited after reading about the product I couldn’t say no! A week later, my shakes arrived and I was beyond thrilled. They tasted delicious and it was SO easy for me to make in my busy mornings. Since getting them I either have one for breakfast or lunch & I can already tell a difference.
I have been varying my work outs so that I’m not doing the same thing all the time. I only work out a few times a week, but still the same workout was really starting to get to me. I need variety! I went out for a run over the weekend and made it a whole 2 miles! I can’t tell you how proud I was of myself – and goodness was I sore for like 2 days!! I’m talking – hurting to sit down sore! But oh it felt so good. 🙂 The thing is, running to me is not only a physical exercise, it’s a mental break. I know lots of people who HATE it, but for me, running means my mind is free from all my worries & I can just BE. I can’t wait for the weather to get warmer so I can run in the mornings before hubby goes to work.
(usual work outs include: 50 squats & sit ups a day & some form of cardio 3 times a week)
As I mentioned above about my friend sharing the Shaklee 180™ product with me, I started doing some research on the company & I found an opportunity for bloggers to review the Shaklee 180™ Turn Around Kit for 6 months! When I saw it I couldn’t help but think, “Where do I sign up?!” I ended up applying for the opportunity(on the last day!), sent it on it’s way & honestly forgot about it. (I mean, I do have 4 kids under the age of 4 to take care of…) I ended up checking my email one morning and saw one from Shaklee. I for sure thought it was for the app I downloaded – NOPE! It was an email telling me I was one of 90 selected for the program!!!!!!
I was so thrilled! I can’t even tell you how excited I was. I had been so down about the non-weight loss and had been considering purchasing the kit prior to getting this email! Talk about an answer to prayer! So, starting March 1st I’ll be blogging & vlogging this journey along with 89 other women that were selected.
